The honest version
The plan and the trip check are separate on purpose. Most people take one or two trips a year, so paying monthly to plan them makes little sense. If you just want one trip checked before you go, buy the check and skip the subscription. The plan is worth it if you are the kind of person who rebuilds an itinerary five times before leaving.
